come away with me...

so last night Nana, Grumps and I went to see Nora Jones at the Bayside Concerts down at the embarcedero. It was for Nana's Birthday. It was very nice and Nora sounded *AWESOME* so clear and just like the album. She opened with *come away with me* We stayed until 9:30. Just enough, I was tired and had to get up at 5:00am. yikes! But a good time was had by all.
Shelby babysat the boys. This weekend is the *Halfway Event* the kids are looking forward to it. Colby is all ready to go, here's his outfit! what a dude! He get's the staples out on Friday......poor Dr. Daub. I hope Colby does'nt hurt him...he's very strong.
Jamser had his *CYT* recital! He did great!! He's a natural on stage! He can't wait to do it again next time! He loved it! Pics did'nt come out so good, but the video did.

anyway, nothing to exciting to report. maybe after the weekend. I'm sure i'll have tons of pics from the *halfway party*. OH, I did take the boys to Chuck-E-Cheese on Monday. The Cormacs had a farewell to Chuck-E! Fiona and Ians last Chuck-E trip for awhile and they invited us! How nice of them. We'll miss them. they leave for Japan on the 24th.

Heres a pic of my *black-eyed-pea*.....poor Big Squish! He took a header off the changing table....i know call CPS...but he's ok. looks worse than it is.

oh, boy!

do i have alot to blog about! I know it's only been three days, but geez! we had an eventful few days. I do'nt even know where to start... i guess i'll start with the *F*A*N*T*A*S*T*I*C* yard!!!!!! Oh my! it is beautiful. better than i imagined. I know it's simple, but i'm simple. and it makes me happy. Now the only thing is, i have to keep the boys off ofit for 2 weeks!!! i don't know how i'm gonna do that. They even made a cute little place for the trash cans...our yard is *HUGE*
ok, one down. The next thing is Colby, Jonah and I went to the *OC* to visit and dear, old friend Erika.(been friends since summer of jr. high) We had a blast. I always love seeing her and how we've grown as women and moms. We have kids the same age! how funny. She's awesome and so talented. love her. I just wish we could see eachother more. now for the last, but certainly not least...story....Colby....oh, boy! let's just say i knew he'd end up in the ER sooner or later. We last night was our first (of many, i'm sure) trips to the ER. Well, here's the story. Colby and James were blowing bubbles and Colby decided to climb on the rock fountian in the front yard so he could catch the bubbles better. I told him to get down and he did'nt listen, but no sooner did i say "Get down" did the fiberglass center of said fountian, shift and he plummeded to the ground , but not before smacking his head on the brick wall by the fountian...so at first, being the terrible mother that i am, had no sympathy for the young lad. So , I said, sternly " I told you not to play up there. See what happens". Now all the while he's screaming uncontrolaby. "now, get up" i said and he did'nt. So, i got down to help him and when i picked him up there was a pool of blood!!!! and it was gushing from his head!!! HOLY! James was awesome! He went right in and got my phone and some towels and said "Mom, i think you should call 911!" So i called the grumps and nana and we rushed him to Grossmont Hospital. Now Colby is the proud owner of 6, yes 6 beautiful shiny staples! and boy is he proud off them! He was so brave.

Whoo! so i guess i said mouthful.

we have lived in this house for a little over a year now and today, finally we are doing the
landscaping! hooray! now there won't be mud on the little feet of my children when they play in the pool!!! We are putting in grass and a cobblestone path to the eventual garden/flower bed! i am very excited! Should take the guys only a week. sounds good to me. It should be much cooler back there and we won't look so white-trashy...hee hee

it's a day at the beach

so, we went. maybe it was a little ambitious, but for the few hours of fun the boys had, it was worth the trouble. James was out surfing!!! Colby actually got in the water this time and Jo-Squish crawled right down to the water, then got mad that it hit him! he was much happier up at the umbrella with Grandpa. it was a good time. took lots of pics and videos. the beach is always a good time and the boys pass out so quick when we leave.

everything grows with love...

been*trying* to tool around in the garden lately and i have actually made things *grow* and they are still growing! i usually have a *black thumb* when it comes to gardening, but somhoe how it worked this time. hooray! the boys have been helping...maybe thats why. they get so excited to water the plants and Colby just likes to pick the veggies(even before they are ready) it's great that they are involved.
we took a walk tonight down our street and some neighbors were having a block party! they boys went nutso! there were so many kids to play with and they all live down the street at the cul-de-sac! so great! so we sorta crashed their party but they did'nt mind. we left home around 5:30 and did'nt retun until almost 9:00!!! Crazy! but so fun
